More Information
Swooping in to fill the void for ticketless Phish fans is the just announced Phamily Reunion four day camping and music festival to be held on private property nearby Red Rocks in Colorado at Idaho Spring\'s Van Eden Ranch. With a lineup of well known touring festival acts such as the New Mastersounds, the Heavy Pets, EOTO, Lynx & Jamie Janover, Ana Sia, YAMN and local band on the rise, White Water Ramble (with more performers yet to be announced) this nearby festival occupying the same four days in August should perk the ears of Phish fans left out in the cold.

It goes without saying that the law enforcement presence to crack down on loitering and illegal camping will be highly visible at this year\'s four night stand of Phish at Red Rocks. The famously reported rumors of Phish being banned from Red Rocks were widely reported after the band\'s four night stand at Red Rocks in 1996 when members of the Morrison community complained how many of the band’s fans (many of whom did not have tickets to the shows) had over run and set up makeshift campsites all over the the sleepy small town. But it appears jamband capitalism may have a solution this year.

In addition to serving up four days of music and camping for people who didn\'t get tickets to Phish, the festival is also aiming to cater smartly is offering Red Rocks ticket holders looking for nearby camping single and four day camping passes that include transportation from the fest to Red Rocks.

I am still waiting to find out if the curious name of this festival spelled with the same alphabetical juxtoposition as Phish is merely a coincidence or not...probably not.
